Kate McLeod
Specialist MSK and Sports Physiotherapist
BSc (physio), BA(HMS)UPE (Human Movement Science) MCSP, HCPC

Kate has been a physiotherapist for almost 30 years and has worked in clinics in both South Africa and Australia. She has always been fascinated by how people move and loves to troubleshoot why an injury has occurred. She believes that educating and collaborating with her patients allows them to manage their own injuries and empowers them return to what they love to do.
Kate has experience in treating a wide range of musculo-skeletal injuries and particularly enjoys treating runners. She has a special interest in the treatment and rehabilitation of chronic, complex injuries and enjoys the challenge of finding a path forward for patients who have been struggling with an injury for a long time. She has experience in treating patients with EDS and other connective tissue disorders and enjoys working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to manage these complex conditions.
Over the years, Kate has regularly attended courses to update her knowledge and advance her clinical toolbox. She has training in ConnectTherapy and the Thoracic Ring Approach which she uses as part of a whole-body approach to injury management and rehabilitation. One of her favourite parts of her job is hearing a patient’s story. She has always believed that if you listen carefully enough, the patient will tell you what the problem is.
Kate is a hiker, slow runner and enthusiastic maker and is enjoying exploring the beautiful Scottish landscapes with her partner and little Whippet. She is slowly learning to embrace the winters and loves how the Scottish celebrate and appreciate each of the seasons.
