Phil [is] a consummate professional in the way he approached every aspect of my training and development. He took the time to listen to my goals and came up with innovative ways to work towards them. It’s Phil’s attention to detail that really puts him at the forefront of coaching and training. He was able to identify quickly areas where I was going wrong and correct my course before I’d strayed too far off the program. The thing about Phil is he always makes you feel valued and that your goals and successes matter to him just as much as they matter to you. He is a great listener but above all he’s a real doer and his can – do attitude and positive outlook when faced with the biggest of challenges is why working with him is an honor and a privilege.

I have been seeing Phil for my sports related injuries since 2009 and for the last 12 months he’s been my performance coach for Enduro (mountain bike) racing. He takes time to explain the reasons behind what I’m doing and for me that’s extremely motivating as it helps me understand how the challenging sessions will lead to an improvement in performance. He also follows up regularly so we can adapt my training to work even better for me.
